Cook for sailing ship

Do you love the sea, good food, and direct contact with people? Then this is your chance! We are looking for a passionate cook (m/f/d) for our sailing ship Sir Robert Baden Powell, which sails the beautiful Mediterranean Sea.
As part of our crew, you will not only discover breathtaking coastlines and new ports, but also spoil our guests and crew with culinary delights.

Your tasks
  • Preparation of daily breakfast and lunch for 12 guests and crew (separate meals/crew mess)
  • Creation and preparation of a daily 3-course dinner menu that delights our guests.
  • Active participation in an open kitchen, which allows and encourages direct guest interaction.
  • Purchasing and storing food, taking into account the conditions on board.
  • Adherence to the highest standards of hygiene and food safety.
  • Participation in the design and adaptation of menus to ensure variety and fresh, Mediterranean cuisine.
What we wish for
  • Solid training and/or several years of experience as a chef, ideally in Mediterranean cuisine or at sea
  • Creativity and passion for high-quality ingredients and their preparation.
  • Enjoyment of working with people and an open, communicative personality.
  • Independent and structured work style.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to the demands of life and work on board.
  • Good German and/or English skills.
  • Resilience and teamwork skills.
  • Important: You should love sailing and appreciate the unique experience of life on a ship!

Service employee on board

Your tasks include salon cleaning, housekeeping, beverage control and daily inventory. In addition, you calculate and do the weekly shopping together with the cook and support him in preparing the food as needed. Hygiene awareness, the ability to work in a team, physical resilience and a friendly appearance are prerequisites. As this is a traditional sailing ship, active cooperation on board and below deck is expected.

Helmsman or helmswoman

Do you have a careful and independent way of working and are you characterized by physical resilience and a service-oriented attitude? Do you take a sense of responsibility and the ability to work in a team for granted? Then we would like to meet you!
Required knowledge:
Papers/hard Skills: large/small Zeilvaart, Marcom A, basic safety; navigation, dinghy driving, sailing with guests, introduction to rigging, machine room routine, basic knowledge of crafts.
