On the subject of diving:

Everything changes, and so do we: interest in genuine sailing trips with authentic sailing has grown significantly, while interest in diving has declined.

This means that we can only take groups of divers on board on a full charter basis – accompanied, of course, by a diving instructor, either from our team or from the diving group itself. Thank you for your understanding!

Diving equipment

As a registered SSI Scuba Schools International diving center, we offer our diving guests:

  • 2 Poppe compressors, 250 liters each
  • 18 aluminum tanks (INT connection), weights
  • ABC equipment, jackets, and suits (shorty, 5 and 7 mm full suits) in high-quality Mares quality in all standard sizes, including children’s sizes
  • Regulators, lamps, and charging station (220 volt German round sockets)
  • 2 dinghies – a 5.40 Highfield with 115 hp outboard motor and a 4.00 m dinghy with 48 hp – take divers to sites that cannot be reached directly from the ship

Diving Instructor

The diving instructor will accompany you on your journey through the unique and picturesque underwater world of the Mediterranean Sea. Depending on the area, you will dive along slopes, steep walls, and caves (easy level of difficulty), through grottos, wrecks, coral reefs, underwater mountains, and areas rich in fish species.

Diver training can be carried out according to the recognized standards of SSI, “Professional Association of Diving” (PADI) and the “Confédération Mondiale des Activités Subaquatiques” (CMAS).

Introductory diving

For a full charter, we are happy to provide you with a diving instructor who will accompany you on your dives independently or offer introductory dives or courses, depending on the number of participants and their interests. On request, the instructor will offer you introductory dives so that you can find out whether diving is something you would enjoy. The diving instructor will explain the most important aspects of diving in theory and practice and then take you on an exploration tour in shallow water, either individually or in a small group.
The individual introductory dive is relaxed, comfortable, proven, and has been popular for many years! Your first dive will be an unforgettable experience. The feeling of weightlessness in the endless expanse of the sea, the meditative calm underwater, the play of light, and the colors of the underwater world will remain unforgettable. Curious? Then why not try it out with us on board? Pure fascination and an incredible experience in terms of physical sensation and experience!

How do you dive?

You dive with a complete set of diving equipment. You will be supervised by one of our experienced diving instructors both above and below the water. They will explain the basic techniques to you and give you an introduction to the equipment and the training system. You will then dive for a full half hour under the direct, personal supervision of the diving instructor. They will do some very simple basic exercises with you and then you can enjoy the underwater world together.

What do you need?

Swimwear, a little time, and curiosity. We provide all the equipment. If you already have your own mask, fins, or similar items, you are welcome to bring them with you and use them. To ensure optimal preparation, we need the following information from you: clothing size, weight, and shoe size.

Where do we dive?

Our diving instructor will take you to a quiet spot by dinghy, where you will start in shallow water and enjoy your very first impressions. Let yourself be surprised and enjoy this special experience. Once you feel confident enough underwater, you will also have the opportunity to dive directly from the boat.

With a full charter, the diving instructor can offer the following courses, depending on the number of participants and their interests:

Advanced courses

If you have discovered that you enjoy diving, you can book trips with us for a minimum of one week to obtain a diving license. The diving instructor will teach you theoretical and practical skills in several dives. After passing the practical and theoretical exams, your diving certification will be applied for.

SSI Open Water

In about five half-days, you will complete your diving training to become a safe and responsible recreational diver with an internationally recognized diving license, part of one of the largest and most renowned diving associations worldwide, the SSI. All diving equipment is provided free of charge for the duration of the course.

Check-up

If you are interested in obtaining a diving certification, it is recommended that you visit a doctor before traveling. A thorough check-up should be carried out to ensure that your body is able to cope with the physical demands of diving.
As a general rule, any healthy person can dive.

Guided dives

On board with us, you will enjoy the special luxury of individual, relaxed, and personal diving guidance.

For you, this means:
no lugging around tanks, no mass processing, no unpleasant scrutiny from supposed “super divers,” no searching underwater for the right dive boat, no annoying fin kicks from x divers.
Our sailing program is ideally combined with diving, depending on wind and weather conditions.

This means that there may be deviations from our daily program, which will be updated and presented to you every morning at breakfast.
